What was trending on socials media in June?

Everybody saw some trends on their FYP this month for sure, some of them stayed for longer, and some of them were gone in a few days. This is a recapitulation of a few of them, and we can see their influence everywhere we look, and they will probably stay with us longer.

Polka dots

In the last weeks, we can see polka dots everywhere, especially on nails. Pinterest, TikTok or Instagram, it doesn’t matter, polka dot nails are probably the nails of the summer this year. You have different variants, for example, you can have both hands in different colours, crazy right?

But polka dots don’t stay just on nails. We can see it, for example, on clothes, accessories, and on various things. So, if you like a bit of edgy style or more retro, you will enjoy this trend for sure.

Labubus

Unboxing videos of these small, fluffy toys were literally everywhere. It doesn't depend on what style of person has it or what age or generation it is meant to be for. Almost every single influencer was unboxing Labubus (and many more Lafufus), where they were hoping that they would have a colour which they liked. And yes, you hear that right, you can’t choose the colour of your Labubu. You can choose a box, which looks the same as others from the same collection and inside it is a pack which you need to unpack as well to finally see what colour you have. And hopefully, it will match their Birkin bag.

Some people bought it as an investment because the prices of these toys are going up rapidly, and some of them are selling for hundreds, even thousands of dollars.

We will see how long this trend will stay with us, or if something similar will replace it.

Puma Speedcat

Still not sure which shoes to wear this summer? It might be time to take a closer look at the Puma Speedcat. Your Pinterest feed is likely already filled with outfit inspirations featuring these sleek, racing-inspired sneakers.

Do you want them to be more feminine? Our tip is just to add lace laces or tie the laces in cute bow shapes for that soft, feminine vibe.

Could the Speedcat be the next Adidas Samba? With their nostalgic Y2K look and growing popularity across TikTok and Instagram, we wouldn’t be surprised.

Butter yellow

This colour is popping up on every corner right now. The soft, buttery shade of yellow first made its return on runways from brands like Miu Miu, Jacquemus, and Bottega Veneta. A few months later, the rise of quiet luxury and the clean girl aesthetic took over TikTok, and Butter Yellow turned out to be the perfect match for it.

More and more influencers and celebrities started wearing it, maybe because of the elegance and soft, luxurious feel of this colour. No wonder it’s suddenly everywhere. Plus, it looks absolutely stunning on sun-kissed summer skin.

At the end of this month, there was also exciting news about a new product from Rhode. They are releasing a facial mist and a new holder you can attach to your mirror. A perfect addition to your self-care routine and aesthetically pleasing, of course.

And if you like the Sims, I know a classic game which probably everyone used to play (or tried) at least at some point in their life. They have big news because The Sims will be a board game. I know. I can’t really imagine how it will work, but we are excited to see how similar it will be to a digital version.

But I am sure that we will talk about these things later when they are released.
